CLIENT: Environmental Health Watch
PROJECT: Fresh Fest Cleveland

CHALLENGE

Northeast Ohio’s longest-standing environmental justice organization, Environmental Health Watch launched Fresh Fest Cleveland in 2019. The mission of the festival is celebrating urban agriculture, entrepreneurship, the arts, and health and wellness.

Hosted at Rid-All Farm and Otter Park in Cleveland’s Kinsman neighborhood, the day-long festival features music from popular national and local acts, a farmers market, food demonstrations, art installations, artisan vendors, hands-on activities, health and wellness workshops, and a kids zone filled with fun for the whole family.

CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

Axon Creative was engaged to provide the first-year fest with full-service experiential marketing design, brand identity, media relations, ad buys, sponsor recognition, and media partnerships. With multi-faceted festival programming, our mission from branding through advertising strategy was to attract a wide audience from varying cultures, neighborhoods, and backgrounds.

RESULTS

The first-year festival was a smashing success, enjoyed by over 6,000 attendees. Through strategic advertising, we successfully reached a diverse audience of young professionals, families, and seniors from neighborhoods throughout the greater Cleveland area. Axon’s media outreach efforts secured the festival with valuable pre-event editorial coverage and glowing post-event reviews. The festival footprint was filled with wayfinding, sponsor recognition, and experiential signage, giving the first-year festival a polished and established feel.
